Were you aware that for around $400/year, bivio will handle the entire club accounting job for you, including signing the tax return as a paid preparer? http://www.bivio.com/hm/account-keeper.html -Jim Thomas There you go, Val, that probably would be the best way for your club to go, since they apparently don't mind spending that much money. You would need to present bivio with balanced cash and shares of stock agreeing with your broker, and member agreement on what their beginning Member Value and number of units would be. Gene Rooks Jim NO, where is that DVD that shows all the bivio capabilities? Will they give us a monthly report that my members want? But first I have to have bivio agree with cash position of our brokers. Lately just notice Better Investing logos and promotions on bivio site, should check that out. And since you are helping out bivio customers, we'll even give you a free subscription for a new club just for this purpose. Just email support@bivio.com. Val can export her accounting, and you can import it into your new club. Cheers, Rob Jim Thomas writes: > http://www.bivio.com/hm/account-keeper.html Jim, your timing is impeccable. :-) I hate to disappoint Val yet again, but I cannot tell a lie. We decided very recently that we simply can't afford to run AccountKeeper any more. It's too much work, and there's just no margin -- yes, even at $400/year. Since we added the OFX import feature, the reason for AccountKeeper goes away. You can now import transactions from pretty much any financial institution including banks. The reason we created AccountKeeper was to help out those clubs who simply didn't or couldn't enter transactions. With the OFX import feature, we feel we're giving our AccountKeeper customers a natural transition path while saving them money at the same time. :-) Cheers, Rob Nagler bivio Inc. |
