That's very frustrating. We had a similar problem several hears ago. We couldn't even log in. I contacted the state by phone and also exchanged several emails. We eventually filed in paper with a letter explaining the problems we were having. Two years later we were assessed with a $2,400 penalty for not filing electronically. Ira helped us get the penalty abated. So my advice is keep trying. Maybe clearing your browser cache will help. We eventually got it work this year after multiple tries. The https://state.nj.us in the run section worked for us. I think we also used https://www1.state.nj.us Best regards, Ty H. Stuart,
How far did you get in the process and what was the issue when you couldn't go further? For example, did you get a message about javascript?. Did you get a blank screen? Was there an error message of some sort?
Let me know in as much detail as possible as I am trying to get some action between the NJ Division of Taxation and the Division of Revenue and Enterprise Services (who maintains the web application) to remedy the issue.
Thanks.

To New Jersey's credit, the web filing system does retain all of the information from the prior year. Specifically, EIN, name, address, etc., as well as all of the partners data. So this makes updating and filing relatively simple once you get in.
The basic problem is that you must use Internet Explorer compatibility mode to access the web interface. Also, the instructions on the New Jersey webpage are not quite correct. Instructions say to add "state.nj.us" to the compatibility list. However, you must add the entire URL, https://state.nj.us.
The other problem is that Microsoft edge has been updated so many times that there are few directions on the web on how to use the current version in the Internet Explorer in compatibility mode. Earlier explanations do not work with the current version of Microsoft Edge.

I haven't verified this, but I have no reason to doubt its accuracy.

You can use www.ieonchrome.com for free, but it will close you out after 20 minutes, which wasn't enough time for me to manually enter all of the member K-1s, so I just spent the $4.99 to be done with it. Boyd:
Here is a screenshot of my settings in Microsoft Edge for Internet Explorer compatibility.
You get to the settings from the little gear in the lower right corner of the browser page.
I went through so many attempts I can't recall whether I added the third and fourth URLs under Internet Explorer compatibility or just the first two (with the third and fourth being added automatically).
This configuration still works. I checked this evening.
