Happy Groundhog Day! Three of the four top entries in this years Manifest Investing Groundhog Portfolio contest, including the winning entry, were made by investment clubs! Perhaps a testament to the value of group input in making investing choices. We support the fun and will be offering a free, 1 year bivio subscription to the club that does the best in the 2012 contest. Why doesn't your club make an entry? It's all about fun and learning. We guarantee you'll have fun watching how you do. It's a good opportunity to watch some of the stocks you're kind of intrigued by but may not be ready to commit actual club funds to yet. If you'd like to submit an entry, here are the details of how to do so: "Our Groundhog Challenge will once again run from Groundhog Day to Groundhog Day. Anyone and everyone is invited to enter the fray. You may either post five investment selections to the Groundhog Challenge folder on the MANIFEST Forum or you may send an email to manifest@manifestinvesting.com with your five selections. Round up your screening results and studies ... we'll be taking entries all weekend -- clearly the most important event happening this weekend, even in places like Indianapolis." -- Laurie Frederiksen Invest with your friends! www.bivio.com Become our Facebook friend! www.facebook.com/bivio Follow us on twitter! www.twitter.com/bivio I believe there is a problem in the partnership addresses. I looked at the new Federal IRS returns that you said is now available. I decided to look at our reports and ran some of the K-1 forms after checking the reports of earnings. I noted that everyone that has a street name ending in Drive does not show this year as Dr. --- they show at DV. I don't believe the US Post Office changed this address code letters, could you check because of all my addresses ending in Drive, (Dr). now show DV on the K-1's I did tonight. I looked at last year's folders and everyone was O.K. then, so maybe we have a program problem this year. Thanks for checking this out for me. IT DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT FOR A DRIVE TO END UP WITH THE INITIALS DV DR HAS ALWAYS BEEN O.K WITH USPO. I checked with the US Post Office in Dillsburg, Pa. and they say DR. is the correct one for Drive. I have tried sending this e-mail to you via support@bivio.com and info@bivio.com and both e-mails keep coming back. Did you change your e-mail address or is everything thru club cafe now. Please let me know. Art Smith 717-258-8476 I don't know which is correct as far as the IRS is concerned, but for at least the past 2 yeas (2010 and 2009), Bivio's tax program has converted "Drive" in our partners' addresses to "DV". I'm not sure why our results would be different than yours, as you stated that yours showed "DR" last year. Carole (Treasurer) Wise Investment Club Good catch Art! We are adding a fix to abbreviate Drive as DR rather than DV. -- Laurie Frederiksen Invest with your friends! www.bivio.com Become our Facebook friend! www.facebook.com/bivio Follow us on twitter! www.twitter.com/bivio Hi Laurie, We discussed this at a recent club meeting and the question came up as to whether the Bivio subscription prize would only apply to a club entry or whether it would also apply for an individual entry by a club member. From your note below, I believe that the former would be the case but wanted to clarify for our club members. Thanks in advance!
