Dear Bertha,

This link will take you to a page where you can access information about name registration for any state:

http://www.sba.gov/content/register-your-fictitious-or-doing-business-dba-name/

Hope that helps.

Hey Laurie,

First of all, I just wanted to let you know how much the investment club community appreciates the effort you continue to put forth in educating all of us in the nuances of running/establishing a club.

I'm not sure if I shared this idea with you before (I might have), but if there was a way to offer the Club Cafe posts in a digest form, it might make it easier for all of the members of the group.  Besides not cluttering up our email inboxes with individual posts, it would also allow us to pick and choose which topics that interest us and ignore the ones that do not.  This is especially important when readers are all at different knowledge levels.  I'm a member of many Yahoo groups that offer this option and it really is nice to get 30 posts in one email per day, rather than 30 individual emails.  I'm not sure if your software allows it, but if it does, I think the digest option would be extremely helpful and I'm also guessing that you would receive a lot less "unsubscribe me" messages.  Additionally, you can add unsubscribe directions or other useful Club Cafe directions at the end of each digest.  It's just my 2 cents.  Keep on keepin' on!

Thank you Stu. I appreciate your kind comments.

I have asked our programmers if we could develop a digest option for these emails. I agree with you that it would be a good idea. There are no definite plans for when this would get done, but it is on the list. The more people who ask for it, the higher it will move up in priority.

In the meantime, setting up a filter in your email program accomplishes a similar function. All club cafe emails have [club_cafe] in their subject line. You can set up a filter in all the email programs I'm familiar with that will automatically move them to a separate folder where you can look through them when you have time.

Just an idea.

The problem with a digest form is that you will lose any immediate responses.  I love that I can ask a question and it can be answered within minutes.

Hi John,

You mean like this? <g>

Usually when a digest is available it is an option. You can still receive each email as it comes in if you'd like.
