State Partnership Requirements

As I was working through my tax issues this evening (thanks
to Ira for all his help!) I discovered something that I
wanted to run past the group. Have any of you filed your
club name with your State's Division of Commericial and
Corporate Code? As I started to look into Utah requirements
it seems we need to do something along those lines. I was
curious if anyone else had experience with this type of
thing.

Hi Andy,

If you are a general partnership, my experience is that all what you need from the state or county is a DBA (Doing Business As) registration.

When I look at the Utah website, it appears that is the case.

But, for the most definitive answer, you'd probably want to contact a lawyer in Utah or contact the state directly.
