"Your club contains unidentified AccountSync transactions."
In years' past when running the tax report, it was a simple
process. This year, I'm getting "Your club contains
unidentified AccountSync transactions." and must now assign
my brokerage deposits to our member payments. Up to now, I
would record each member's payment under the member section
and never had to deal with assigning the deposit before. If
I now have to assign the deposits to members, am I not
doubling up member payments?
Dear Robert,

It sounds like you may not have been using AccountSync in the past.

When member payments reach your brokerage, AccountSync enters "Unidentified Credit" transactions in your bivio records. If these are member payments, all you need to do is pick multiple payment from the little drop down menu that is on them and record your payments.

You are correct that if you have already entered member payments manually, these will be duplicate entries. In that case, you can just delete them.

Thanks Laurie. I've been using AccountSync for years. This
change is a recent revelation for me. Maybe it was not
required to assign the deposits to members in last year's
tax report in Bivio, but as I've been our treasurer for
years, this is the first time that I've encountered this.

Laurie, Why do you use "multiple payment"? I find using the "single payment" option is much easier.thanks, bruce

Dear Robert,

It has always worked like this.

Perhaps you just missed a month. If you go to Accounting>Accounts and select the name of your brokerage account, it will pull up the transaction list. You will be able to see easily which transactions you need to identify or delete to finalize your records and get your taxes prepared.

This is a good question. I use "multiple payment" because when you use the penny system to identify payments, they will automatically be filled in for the correct member when you open the multiple payment form. Even when there is only one payment on a given day, I find this saves me a little time.

Of course, it's up to you. If you like doing the payments one at a time, that works fine also.
