Estimating Revenue Growth, Club Meeting Meeting and AAPL In this month's Club Meeting Meeting on Thursday, we'll discuss estimating revenue growth as our educational topic and suggested club activity. While it is easy to see how a company has grown sales in the past, once we own their stock, we want to keep an eye on their potential to grow sales in the future. For example, Apple just reported a blow out quarter with huge increases in sales of their products. How long will this continue? Won't everyone own an IPhone pretty soon? I found these graphs this morning that compare worldwide IPhone sales with the other phones out there. http://www.asymco.com/2010/11/02/absolute-value-the-handset-market-stacked/ I found them very interesting. While Apple makes a huge profit on their phones, their unit sales are still relatively low compared to the other manufacturers. I guess everyone doesn't already have an IPhone. This type of information helps to increase my comfort level that they will be maintaining their historical sales growth levels for a while. The Club Meeting Meeting will be at 8:30 EDT.
