Stock div\Split on PPDI

SHIRLENE BOUDREAUX on

We received a few shares of Furiex Pharmaceuticals from a
stock div\split of Pharmaceutical Product Dev Com in which
the transaction did not come over from our brokerage account
(T D Ameritrade). How should this transaction be handled in
order to post correctly in BIVIO? I'm sure other clubs
owned PPDI and may have had the same scenerio. Thanks,

Hi Shirlene,

When a stock split occurs, it can be a few extra days before
AccountSync makes the correct entries in your records. This
is because we need to research the terms of the split so
that we can make sure everything is entered correctly.

If you are using AccountSync, you can be assured that we
will make the entries for you. Rip is investigating this

Hi Shirlene,

PPDI had a spin off on 6/14/2010, where stockholders received 1 share of FURX for each share of PPDI. Any fractional shares were sold off. You enter this by going to Accounting|Investments and selecting PPDI. Then click on SpinOff. The Spinoff Ticker should be FURX. The date should be 6/14/2010. For the number of shares, enter the number of PPDI shares divided by 12. [Include the fractional portion]. For Remaining Basis Percentage, enter 96.61. For cash received, enter the amount of cash your broker credited you around 6/14 for cash in lieu.
