Transfer of Shares This has probably been addressed before but I can't remember since I wasn't worried about it at the time. Anyway we have members that are a father and son. The father is leaving the club and wants to transfer all of his shares to his son. How would this be done? Do I have to do a withdrawal for the father and then a transaction for the son? Thanks for your help in advance. Jill Hi Jill,
I take it that the father wants to make a gift of his units to the son.
There is no problem with such a gift if the total amount is $13,000 or less. If
it's more, he can increase it, if either he or the son is married.
Transferring units in bivio is not a simple process. You will have to ask
bivio support to do it for you. Be sure to tell them the date that you wish the
transfer to take place, and the two parties involved. If the son is not now a
member, the club might have something to say about whether they want to take him
on as a new member.
If you have any other questions, comments, or suggestions, please
reply to this message. Thank you for using bivio,
Rip West bivio Inc. Thank you for the help. I will contact support. The son is a member so that’s not a problem. Jill
