Tax printing question I haven't seen this question before. I have successfully completed the taxes for my club and it is now time to print and file them. Do I have to print page 2 of each K1? This is the page with the codes on it. It is a colossal waste of ink. There is also a page separating each K1 which says "this page intentionally left blank". Does this need to be included? Marcia Meltzer Security Investment Now I agree with the waste of ink however, I take the one page and copy it on a copier. Less ink used and less time using computer printer. I then enclosed 1 copy of the Page 2 of the K-1 for informational purposes for each member. I then made a note for the permanent files that this page was included. I would think that they don't need the codes page. They made up the codes, they should know what they are. My thought is NOT to print them or what is basically a blank page. You don’t have to include the K1 instructions and blank sheets on the 1965 submitted to the IRS.
As a suggestion, here is how I print the returns in one shot .
On our club’s 1065, pages 1 through 8 and 65 thru -69 are for the Form 1065 .
Pages 9,12,15,18,21 etc are the member’s K1’s Pages 10,13,16,19,22 etc are the k1 instructions and not needed Pages 11,14,17,20,23 etc are the blanks also not needed
We have 14 members so last blank page is 64.
We then have pages 65 thru 69 with supporting data for the 1065.
Your printer should be able to take the following instructions. I know that with H P printers you can do this.
When you bring up the print window it will ask what pages to print such as ALL, CURRENT PAGES. or SELECTED PAGES.
Click the radio button for SELECTED PAGES and enter the following.
1-8,9,12,15,18,21,24 etc until all members are entered. The make sure that there is a comma after the last member’s page and enter the last four pages which in our case would be 65-69. Then PRINT
Look at logically. You are requesting the printer to print the first 6 pages consecutively, then every 3rd page until the members K1s are entered, and then the last 4 consecutive pages. which our case would be 65-69
You could also do it in 3 steps, which would be less confusing. First print consecutively the 1st 8 pages, then every 3rd page for the K1s, and then consecutively the last 4 pages, and assemble them
Hope it works

Thanks Ira, that is the information I was looking for. And thanks Arthur for your info. I have an Epson printer so the instructions are not the same as for the HP. I printed the 1065 up through the schedule D attachment duplex then did odd pages only for the K1s & their attachment. This worked perfectly. Thanks Ira..
I neglected to mention that the instructions also had to be included with the members’ K1.
Also my solution was just for this particular case. If a club ahs foreign taxes, the countries will be listed on the “Page Unintentionally Left Blank”. In this case, theses pages have to be sent to the IRS and also given to each member.

Hi Leo.. My HP printer also has a duplexer which prints both sides, but most printers do not have this feature. My process was for those whose printers only printed one side at a time.
