My club owns Marvel Entertainment Inc (MVL) stock. Does
anyone know how long it typically takes for us to receive
the money and Disney stock from the sell or where I can get
that information?

Both the Disney and Marvel websites have news releases
describing the terms of the deal, and there is a recording
of the conference call by the companies executives
discussing the sale on the Disney website.

There are several steps to be a completed before the sale is
complete, and I doubt if anyone can give an accurate
estimate of how long it will take. The following information
is posted on both websites:

"The Boards of Directors of Disney and Marvel have each
approved the transaction, which is subject to clearance
under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act,
certain non-United States merger control regulations,
effectiveness of a registration statement with respect to
Disney shares issued in the transaction and other customary
closing conditions. The agreement will require the approval
of Marvel shareholders."

At some point, you should receive a ballot that will allow
the shareholders to decide whether to accept the deal. The
materials that accompany the ballot may provide a timetable
for the completion of the sale.
