Firstrade brokerage
Hello all,

Has anybody else had a difficult time working with
Firstrade? My club is trying to transfer some stock
positions from our Scottrade account to them to take
advantage of dividend reinvestment. I am summarily
unimpressed with their customer service to this point. I was
curious if anyone else had similar experiences with them.

Hi Brad,
I've been with Firstrade, both personally and as a club, for over 8 years now. I've had lots of "things" come up over the years that has required that I work with customer service. I can count on one had any problems I had, and each of them were quickly resolved. Most of the problems revolved around new representatives that didn't have experience in some peculiar problem I brought to the table.
I highly recommend that you call the 800 number and ask for Jackie, the customer service manager. Firstrade is a small brokeage. They are also Asian owned. Whenever I've had "communication" issues, she has always resolved them quickly. They can be a little quirky at times, but they have always made up for it with otherwise great service.
