Setting up problem
Hi, our club just started using bivio as of 1/1/09. I am new
at this and when I set up the opening balances for the
members I put in what they had paid in to date and earning
allocated to date. The club has been around a number of
years. Now, (July) the old treasurer is telling me the paid
in amount was entered as earnings and that this is not
correct. He feels this should be backed out and should not
be earnings, does anyone have any suggestions? I really
appreciate the help. Thanks Jill
Hi Jill,

When you use Edit Opening Balances to switch over to bivio, the member information fields you fill
in are:

1. Total Paid into the club by each member
2. Cumulative net Earnings Allocated to each member
3. Number of Units owned by each member as of the switch-over date

The first two, added together, are sometimes totaled in your historical records and referred to as
"Paid In Plus Earnings". In this case, you only need to enter that number in one of the first two
fields.

If you'd like to edit anything you entered when you started up you can do so by going to
Administration>Tools.

It is good to make sure your records are correct. Making any edits at this point will change all of
your records for this year.

Feel free to email us at support@bivio.com to discuss the specifics for your club further.

Thank you
