Thanks for your comments, and I learned something. You are
right about how we used I-Club's petty cash. I joined my
group in 1998 but it was formed in 1994 so the CPA that was
my mentor taught me to do the accounting as I explained and
I think he did it the way the original treas did it so as to
not make any waves. As I said I am not an accountant and
forgot we were using the PC incorrectly.

Let me be clear - we do not use a sub acct. I am getting to
be an old dog, no new tricks. When we moved from I-Club to
bivio I expected the new software to be identical (wrong
assumption, I know better but we fall into traps); so in my
mind I was looking for a 'work around' for what my club did
incorrectly. -still with me- Since bivio only has sub
accts my opinion became 'that was a shortcoming' and I am
wrong. I didn't know about fees, so thanks for that idea.

It seems to me that when I, (or clubs), figure out new
software on their own they will make mistakes. So it is
nice that we have this Club Cafe.

And I don't like accounting but I try to learn. Listen to
this -> I am an Economist by training. My philosophy has
always been 'Cash is King' except when it should be
invested, so who invented this weird duck 'petty cash'???
