registration revoked I have been reading about registration revoked , it happened to one of my stocks, can you tell me if its worthless now ticker symbol is XCLT, registration was revoked on 10/24/08. thanks JL I'm not a lawyer, but my reading of the SEC revocation order only prohibits the trading of the stock in the public marketplace. It would seem as though you would have to find a private buyer for your shares if you wanted to sell. The revocation order doesn't, by itself, make your shares worthless.
However, the revocation order indicates that XCL Ltd hasn't filed any documentation with the SEC for nearly a decade and is a "void" Delaware corporation (whatever that means in legal speak). If the corporation is still in existence (unknown), it would seem that your shares are not worthless, even if very difficult to value.
Of course, this leads to the question of why anyone would ever invest in a company with such poor regulatory history.
