Member payouts
Our club is about to reach the end of our first year and a
few members are planning on cashing out. What’s the best
way to do it? Do we write a check from the cash we have on
hand? Do we sell some stock and then write them a check?
Should we transfer some shares to their own E*Trade account?
Any suggestions are all greatly appreciated.

If you have stocks that have appreciated, you should consider transferring shares. If you need to raise cash, consider selling stocks that are currently showing a loss. Since it's only your first year of operation, the numbers probably aren't very large, so it really doesn't matter what you do.
