You asked the same question yesterday and Jim Thomas replied. Unfortunately
you do have to go back and find each of the transaction dates and enter them
separately. I'm sure they're on your broker statements. As you state, you have
the dividend date and the dividends were reinvested. The dividend date is the
purchase date.
Alternatively, you can contact bivio support and see what they can do for
you. There is no easy way out here.

I am
writing for assistance regarding a problem with the
switch over I am trying
to complete. IOur club has been in
existence for over 10 years and
have been using CA3. I was
hoping to be able to upload our club
records but was unable
to do so. After many tries, and even using
the
suggestion posted in the Club Cafe I finally gave up and
started
entering all of the data using a swithchover date of
1/1/07. The
problem I have encountered is that I am not
able to add stock shares
accumulated over time as part of
reinvested dividends. These were not
purchased as a block
and have no date associated with them on our
broker
statements. They are only recorded on the statement as
part
of the detail at the time the dividend occured and on
all
statements after that are lumped into a category identified
as
"reinvetments to date." I continually get an error
message if I try to
enter them with out a date and short of
going through all of the previous
statemenst (for a number
of years) I am at a loss as to how to resolve
this. In
bivio our records don't show an accurate number of
shares
and I can't record any sales for the past year involving
any
stocks that have accumulated reinvested dividend shares.
Has anyone
else encountered this and is there a way to
resolve this? Thanks for
any help you can
offer............Barb in
