You shouldn't wait even that long. Our club's policy is that any check not received by the meeting date gets deposited and credited the following month. On the other hand, if you use bivio's penny system, you can have your members deposit their checks directly into your account and you'll always know whose check it is.

It used to take 3-4 months with our last treasurer who is a
CPA. That was a drag this year when Carol and I took over
treasurer, looking for the December checks which weren't
deposited til March... We never realized how imp't it is to

We mail the checks about 9-11 days after the meeting,
waiting 7 days to receive late checks.
