Because they contributed at different times. The number of units purchased depends on the value of the portfolio on the valuation date used. This varies every day.

All of our members have contributed the same amount of money
(albeit at different times) but some of the members show a
smaller # of units than the other members.  Everything else
checks out as even.  Why is this??
