We offered our HD for the dutch auction but our offer was
not accepted.  We offered it at $38 and the auction closed
at $37.  What we saw on E*Trade and in bivio then was the
"sale" of HD at zero dollars when we offered it.  E*Trade
told us the stock will come back into our account soon.  If
the stock is not back by Friday, our valuations will be off
and any contributions made this coming weeked at our meeting
will be made at the incorrect valuation.  Can we correct
this somehow?  Do we have to worry about it?

I would delete the "sale" transaction. Then, when the corresponding "buy" transaction appears, delete it as well.
