Home Depot (HD) is offering to purchase up to 250 million
shares of its common stock at a price not greater than
$44.00 per share and not less than $39.00 per share. The
Modified Dutch Auction format will be utilized.
I know very little about the "auction" format and would
appreciate any comments other treasurer's might be willing
to share.
Have you ever participated in a Modified Dutch Auction?
What are the pros/cons of selling our shares to HD using
this method?
Are there specific web sites that offer good info on the
auction process?
