2 accounts for 1 member causes a mess

2 accounts for 1 member causes a mess In my Stockettes bivio site, my name is listed twice in the accounts. 1 has all my units and transactions for the past 11 years. The other has 4 transactions, all petty cash, amounting to about $80, from about 1998 to 2002. When I tried, as advised by bivio, to delete the 4 transactions, and then enter them exactly the same in the other Etana Finkler account, 2 old withdrawn members appeared, with some small $ in their account, though their last transaction was at least 3 years ago. I re-imported the CAO data UGH I reinstalled Club Accounting 3 I had to install a netFramework 2.0 which took 2 hrs I finally got a clean account list of current members. I saved a backup. I deleted just 1 $10 transaction from the small Etana Finkler account, and ooops! Elizabeth K appeared again in the account list. So I re-imported the clean backup. Everything else in the Stockettes bivio account finally is in order. Bivio tech support hasn't responded, though hope they will. Do any of you have any suggestions? I could leave it the way it is, 2 accounts, but it's probably 4-5 units that should be in my account. Isn't petty cash moved into units? Thanks, Etana Etana Finkler writes: > In my Stockettes bivio site, my name is listed twice in the > accounts. We'll get this fixed up. Give us a day or so as it requires us to do a bit of work to reorganize your transactions. You'll get a response to your pending support request as soon as we've done this. Cheers, Rob Rob, Now that I know you're working on it, I can be patient. I keep getting many emails from bivio saying, "I don't know how to help you with your issue. Earn bivio bucks" I think the wording should be changed to, "I've passed this request on to bivio tech support." Please don't list you cell on a public list. We are backlogged, and we'll get to it this week hopefully by Tue eve. Also, I received a reply from Paul Moeller, and I am going to call the issue closed. Bivio/Paul did combine my account so the extra one is gone. I still don't understand why the $90 petty cash didn't increase my units, but perhaps it's in there somewhere, many years ago. I'm ready to move on with that. Petty cash accounts don't make sense in this day and age of electronic accounting. Cheers, Rob Etana Finkler wrote:

They don't increase the member tax basis in the club either. This was the old way to fund non-deductible expenses for the club. We recommend that clubs use the non-deductible expense categories for these expenses instead. Paul Moeller bivio, Inc. |
