member withdrawal
How do I enter a member withdrawal and NOT have our account
debited twice? Once when I run the member witdrawal report
and again when the withdrawing member's pay out check clears
the borker account. I know that I can wait for a
transaction, such and transfer of funds, to clear the broker
account and then identify the source, (such as transfer,
member withdrawal, etc.); but, I will not have the correct
net payoff to cut the check for until I run the member
withdrawal report.
James, your withdrawal transaction entry takes care of all the entries
needed, including the debit to your checking account. When it clears the
broker is immaterial. Just delete that AutoSynch transaction. You are the
boss, not AutoSynch. Gene Rooks
It appears that your question has to do with how you handle the autosync entry for the withdrawal payment coming from the broker account. I am hardly the expert on autosync, but isn't it true that you don't have to accept all the suggested entries that autosync provides. As you seem to know, you enter the transaction date and the date for the valuation statement when you enter the withdrawal transaction. At that point you are through. Just don't accept the autosync entry, or, if necessary, delete it.
