I use Quicken. I download statements from my Brokerage firm.
I check quotes. I use some of the websites for graphs. I
place Buy and Sell orders.

In every instance, you had better know the ticker symbol. In
Quicken and my brokerage statement my positions are listed
alphabetically by symbol.

If there is a discrepancy in account value I try and compare
the Valuation Statement from Bivio against my Quicken or
Brokerage value. Then the fun starts! Bivio has the Name of
the stock or Mutual Fund with the ticker in parenthesis at
the end of the line.

Then I get to jump up and down the page in Bivio trying to
find the symbol to match with my Quicken.

Several months ago Ameritrade had many problems with their
downloads. I had to enter many transactions manually. I had
to go through the transaction summary in Bivio and figure
out what transaction had been downloaded and which were not.
It was a nightmare that I couldn’t ‘Sort’ the Bivio
transactions and compare them against a sort on Ameritrade
transactions.

Many hours of work could have been done in a few minutes!

I have ask Bivio a couple of times to list by Ticker (like
every other financial institution or software program I have
ever seen) but to no avail.

Maybe there is strength in numbers. If you would like to see
