Paid too much
I think the last person we paid out, we did the wrong
valuation and paid him too much. We ended up paying him in
appreciated stock (67 shares of FDS) and $20 some in cash.
He did have a $9.99 withdrawal fee from the club.

Going back now over the steps, bivio says we should have
valued him at a lesser amount. I was not part of the
original process but am now trying to get our books back in
order. Any suggestions? The person who left will not be
paying back to the club any overages.
Barry
Barry, did you process his withdrawal in bivio, but used an incorrect
valuation date, which is easy to do if you aren't alert to the fact that you
need to use the official valuation date that follows his turning in
withdrawal notice? Or maybe used current valuation, wrote a check first,
and are now trying to reconcile with the correct date? If you know you
aren't going to get it back, you can get the bottom line amount you actually
paid him to agree with your accounting records by adjusting either positive
or negative as needed in the fee section.
