I exported bivio to floppy and compressed the file. when i
try to import this to CA3, it doesn't recognize the
format.....

i'm afraid this is getting out of my realm.

deannie
Deannie,

You can't export from bivio to CA3. Just the other way.

Well, Rip West, that stinks. I've been using Bivio for the
3 months trial. it is time to buy in or opt out. now this
really makes it hard to opt out. i guess i have to go back
and enter all transactions back into CA3. That doesn't make
them very compatible. I assumed if you could import from
CA3 to bivio, you could certainly reverse the process.

I know you have been around a long time, first on the list
serve help group for Club Accounting, and now you consult
for Bivio. What is your recommendation? I don't want to
keep both much longer, especially since i have learned
everything must be entered twice.

some things about Bivio, I like. My complaint has to do
with impatience. I figure out how to do something and then
the next month i have to learn it all over again. I
sometimes can't find what i'm looking for at all, generally
it is some transaction I'm trying to verify.

PS By the way, thank you for your prompt answer.

To be clear, this is a choice that ICLUBcentral makes. bivio has
no control over ICLUBcentral's software. Your complaint lies with
them, not bivio. There is no reason they cannot import our export
format.

Well, you seem to know something about me, but your facts are not quite right. I have been a consultant to both bivio and IClub, but not at the same time. Mostly, I consider myself as a consultant to any treasurer who wants advice, which is why I responded to your question. Having said that, at present, I am under contract to IClub, so I don't think I should give you any recommendation other than to pick one program and stick with it.

Diane,

To remove your name from the mailing list, click on the "
back to list" icon on this page. Then click on the "leave"
icon on the Club Cafe' webpage. This should do the trick.

I already did this for her so she probably didn't get this message.
