Buy & Hold
I recently had a experience with Buy and Hold in which I was
not happy with the result on there part. An error was made
and there answer was that their computer system was not set
up to do it correctly.

When I asked for it to be corrected. The correspondence
ceased.

Has anyone else out there had a similiar experience?

We also have a Scottrade Account and customer service is
great.

BUY and HOLD has done fine with our accounting so far as I
can tell; however, when I've inquired about anything, I've
usually gotten an inadequate email reply after many days'
delay. Inquiries by phone are the same, inadequate, and add
to that terse and surly. I'm suspect of their procedures
and staff also because of this added element of mystery. No
solid evidence.
I have had some experiences with Buy and Hold's accounting,
one where the Book Value of a stock was incorrection and one
where they accounted for the merger of a stock
incorrectly.....it took more than one phone call to
straighten it out, and eventually they did, although they
are still 90 cents off on the second issue. It;s to our
advantage, so I droppped it. My concern is that is appeared
that some of these accounting issues occurred because the
numbers were being entered manually, and I couldn't
understand why. That said, I will say that I have always
received a timely response from their customer service, but
the resolution seems to take a few days.
