We held world com and the shares are now worthless, how do
I delete it out of our portfolio? Do I place it as a sell
for 0$ since it is considered a loss?

Yes, assuming the common stock was canceled when MCI came out of bankruptcy (I think it was, but I'm not sure). If it's still trading on the pink sheets even at a fraction of a penny/share, you'll have to sell it to claim the loss. A quick phone call to MCI's Investor Relations department will get you the answer.
