NAV History Report
We had a desire to see a history of our account valuation
over time but found no report that met our need. Searching
through the Club Café I found that a few other users had
also expressed the same need but that Bivio had no plans to
provide a solution.

I have written a Perl script that can be used to get this
information from Bivio. Basically all it does is run the
daily NAV report multiple times, once for each day in the
date range you choose. You can pipe the results to a .csv
and then bring into Excel or any other charting tool of your
choice.

I believe others may benefit from this but I would only
share it if Bivio gave me permission to do so.

Bivio - is this something I may share with those interested?

Thanks, and absolutely! We like sharing. You can post it with an
attachment here, if you like.

Caveat Emptor: We don't recommend comparing the NAV with stock prices.
We prefer an apples to apples comparison like our Benchmark Report.
The Benchmark Report accounts for actual cash flows, which is
important. A static NAV graph doesn't take this into account, and
therefore can be misleading with respect to your actual return. Most
clubs are not "lump sum" investments so your asset growth depends on
when the capital flows in and out. Capital flows don't affect NAV,
but they affect the club and member's returns.

Rob
Thanks Rob, I'll clean it up and post when I get a chance.
