club_cafe: Changing treasurers on Buy and Hold.com
My club recently departed buyandhold.com because we were sick of the very poor customer service. Most notably, anytime we requested a check, there was always problems -- the most recent request took 3 MONTHS to finally arrive. So we've switched to BrownCo. THey were extremely helpful in the application process. They promptly called to tell us what forms were incorrectly filled out and allowed us to fax some of them back.

As to Rip's point, that's how we operate as well. We never inform the broker of officer changes. We always have two "signers" on the account, even though we don't use checkwriting. Sometimes, one of those two people are treasurer, sometimes they are not, but they are only needed when the broker requires some sort of verification. We trade mostly online also so the password can move around freely as the officers change.
Thanks for the info, I think I will do some research on
BrownCo. We have to change treasurers formally b/c
BuyandHold requires us to have an Attention To: (Name) on
the investment club account. Because of this, all checks
come made out to Atlanta Bulls, Attention: (Treasurer's
Name). Our treasurer is no longer active in the club, so
this is where we are having the issues. Any additional
advice that anyone can help out with on this issue?

Thanks!!!
Bridgette
