club_cafe: Cancellation of Common Stock
>>In a response to a question about Exodus Communications, you
had mentioned that the stock was cancelled in 2002.  Where
can you find this information about current or past problem
companies?

There are several places to look. First, check the company's web site. Often the site is still up and has the information in the press releases or investor information area. What you're looking for is court approved plan to exit bankruptcy or an announcement that the company was bought or otherwise terminated.

You can also search the company's official filings with the SEC at www.sec.gov. Look in the EDGAR database. Again you're looking for a filing of the plan to exit bankrupcy. It may be in an "8-K" filing (current newsworthy events) or it may be elsewhere.

Finally, you can always do a google search on the company name and "bankrupt" and look for relevant articles. Eventually you will turn up something that will point you in the right direction.
