Stock Simulations
Our club is interested in running a stock market simulation
to help foster learning investment techniques and
strategies. Does anyone know of a web site that allows a
club to set the parameters of a contest and then let members
do their thing. We'd prefer the site to be free because
of our short term usage (6 months).

Any help out there?
I don't know if it's still out there, but there used to be a
site called Marketocracy. It was used to unearth potential
mutual fund managers. I believe it was free. Each fund
manager started with x number of virtual dollars, but had to
follow federal Mutual Fund rules to compete. Don't know if
that will help or not. Let me know if you find something
else.

Thanks,
Eliz.
several out there...........just do a google search.

If you want to get real fancy though........try
vectorvest.com with the 5 week trial for $10. Can't go
wrong.

Any more specifics? Does anyone have experience with a
site that they would recommend? or avoid?

I want my club to get more agressive any ideas
www.investopedia.com just started a free simulator that
allows you to create your own game/rules/etc. Plus the site
has quite a bit of useful info as well.

Hi Kim,

I'll be talking to Gail and Nancy tonight at 9 eastern time. We've already
exchanged a few e-mails, and I had a phone call with Jay.

Bottom line, it would be late tonight til I could call you, so I'll hold off
til monday evening if that suits you.

Paul
