Cookies Why does Bivio want to put several (and I'm being conservative) cookies on my machine? Does Bivio want to track members activities? Just like brokers, banks, and other financial institutions, we use cookies for authentication and tracking purposes. This ensures your data remains secure, and we can audit the use of our system for unusual activity and to help customer support. Every time you click on a page, our servers validate your login, which is contained in a cookie. If the cookie doesn't match our database or your login has been invalidated, you are denied access. We store exactly two cookies (one persistent and one session cookie). I'm not sure what you mean by "several". The cookie data is encrypted to keep you're login credentials confidential. Our use of cookies is outlined in our privacy statement: http://www.bivio.com/hm/private.html Our privacy statement has been approved by TRUSTe, "an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to build users' trust and confidence in the Internet by promoting the use of fair information practices."
