Members withdrawing thier funds

Members withdrawing thier funds I was wondering what happens to the unrealized/gains or losses when a member withdraws. Lets say member 1 invested $100 in my investment club and wanted to withdraw all their funds when his/her total value is worth $50 all of which is unrealized(no interest or dividend payments included). Would they report a realized Capital loss of $50 in taxes at the end of the year? Or say it was worth $150 would that be a $50 realized capital gain? And how does Bivio Accounting handle this with our individual stock? Any help or insight will be appreciated Dean, When you do the withdrawl, bivio creates a withdrawl report for you. IT will give you all the info you need. Dean Wall wrote: > I was wondering what happens to the unrealized/gains or > losses when a member withdraws.
