ON LIne Brokerage
We are a new family investment club just forming which will
be setting u a brokerage acct shortly. Notice several
negative comments regarding e-Trade; any comparisons or
comments on Ameritrade or Waterhouse?
Check out First Trade, Our club started at Buy & Hold and
also at ETrade - Would not recomend E-Trade as I am the
aurthor of the compliant about E-Trade's fees. I do not like
the monthly fee at Buy & Hold and if you are not satisfied
with them, it is difficult to transfer part shares to most
brokerages.
Good Luck.

Check out Datek. I am the Financial Officer of a two-year old club. They have been great so far. Very reasonable rates (9.99 on ALL transactions, including limit orders). Their service has been great also!

Ameritrade has been excellent for our club in the past 17
months. They are $8 per trade (market order). They have
been extremely responsive to our concerns and questions and
often run offers for 25 free trades.
