Tax Question: Schedule E?

Tax Question: Schedule E? Do investment club members need to file Schedule E with their 1040s? Or is all investment club activity reported solely on Schedules B & D? Thanks, Sam Generally, investment club activity is reported on schedules A (investment expenses/interest), B (dividend and interest income), and D (capital gains/losses) of Form 1040. Occasionally, Schedule E will be used -- eg., if there is royalty income from a natural resources PTP, and occasionally Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit). There may be special circumstances where other forms are used. In any event, if you follow the partner's instructions for Form 1065 Schedule K-1, you will be told where each number needs to be entered on your personal tax return. These instructions should be provided with your K-1. If not, you can find them at www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1065sk1.pdf Ira Smilovitz Lakshmi Investments, LLC Samuel L Weiss wrote: > Do investment club members need to file Schedule E with > their 1040s?
