bivio and naic 1.4 - two different unit values Because of the incompatibility between naic and bivio, our group has decided to maintain accounting on both programs for a year. We had expected everything to be the same between the two but. . . . even though our balances and stock valuations are the same, our units are not because of different methods of accounting. My question is, is this a concern, or does it not really matter? Sarah Sarah Lovelidge writes: > My question is, is this a concern, or does it not really > matter? Any discrepancies matter. There has to be a reason for them. One way to compare would be to create a new club on bivio, import your NCA, and compare your "real" bivio club with your freshly imported club. Print out all the reports and compare them side by side. I'm sure you'll come up with the reason for the discrepancy. One issue may be that bivio doesn't have the distribution function. This will affect the units, but shouldn't have any effect on taxes. Read the following Trez Talk article to learn more: http://www.bivio.com/trez_talk/mail-msg?t=6072600003 Make sure you audit NCA before importing. Please let us know what you find out. Email support when you'd like us to delete your test club. Cheers, Rob |
