Our club just started an additional education meeting
once every other month. Each member takes a subjest of
interest to the club, does research, and then presents
it in an hour long session. We have had one on
technical analysis, and are scheduled for others on
After Hours Trading, Exchange Traded Funds, and have
asked one of our brokers to come for an exchange of
information and ideas. Also, go out for lunch, brunch
or whatever and brainstorm as to what the club would
like to do, as well as the direction that the club
wants to go. You'll be surprised at the results. Good
     luck! Ceil

Our club went through a period of "whatever'ness" (as some of us called it) about 18 months ago. Some members seemed to lose interest in any of our investments. Our club by-laws clearly state that each member is responsible for the "tracking" of a particular assigned stock that we have in our portfolio. After "reminding" members of this and re-emphasing that the club money was THEIR money, our "whatever'ness" has gone away. We now have active members who enjoy watching THEIR money! Also, bivio helped us by allowing our members to feel as though they are a continual part of the club. We found that clubs must be careful not to make members feel as though their monthly contributions are just "another bill" to pay...
