It's possible that many of you are as unaware of the BI process for improving their online tools as I was. The site is here: https://feedback.betterinvesting.org. Everyone who is a registered BI user can vote (up to 3 times per suggestion) for the suggestions that are most important to them. You can also make your own suggestions for improvements.
A few of mine are duplicates of what are already in the suggestion list but check it out and vote for what you'd like to see!
Here's what I came up with recently:
I teach introductory computer science at UM/Dearborn. One thing I teach my students is to "give the user a good experience". One way to accomplish this is to minimize the keystrokes/mouse clicks that are required. I see instances of this within SSGPlus by allowing double-clicking on some values to make them a selection (such as 4A High P/E forecast) rather than having to type the values directly. Could you expand this to entries similar to Sales Forecast, by adding an automatic "clicking" of "update study" at the same time? In my mind, if I've double-clicked the value, I'm going to follow it by clicking "update study", so why not do both at the same time?
Could you make screening using some additional search criteria, in addition to the values for predefined screens? For example, my club (like many) has too many large and not enough small companies. I love A-List Stocks screening but would like to limit the results to just small companies.
I noticed the reported "Date Modified" field is updated for any change. Could a separate column be added for "Judgment Modified" date? Then, I would know if I've actually reviewed the company rather than just updating the data. And, keep Date Modified as Date Data Updated (only two digits are needed for year in this display).
I would like to create portfolios of stocks that I haven't completely studied yet, so I have a list of ones I need to analyze. Can this be done? There is already a field for Completed, so this could default to N as appropriate. Related to this, if I've done any kind of screening, it would be great if I could save the results as a portfolio. For example, I just ran the A-List Stocks screen and there are 31 companies. Currently, I have to capture that list, create stock studies for any I don't have in my All Studies portfolio, then create a new portfolio and add all 31 stocks into it. It's much more user friendly to click a button to save the results as a new portfolio and then do analysis on any as required.
Under Report Options/Summary, I would like to see:
price located next to Buy Below and Sell Above columns.
Price colored green when it is smaller than or equal to Buy Below price
Price colored red when it is greater than or equal to Sell Above price.
A new portfolio report, Judgment Summary, showing for every company in a portfolio:
Ticker
Company Name
Forecast Sales
Forecast EPS
Forecasted High Price (from 4A)
Forecasted Low Price (from 4B)
Upside Downside Raio (from 4D)
Projected Average Return (color Green if > 13%, Red if < 5%)
U/D Ratio (color Green if between 3:1 and 10:1, Red if < 1:1)
Relative Value or Projected Relative Value (Green if between 85 and 105, Red if >= 150)
Action (Buy, in green if three greens; Sell, in Red if three reds)

Gee, unless I am missing something, it seems a little unfair to use the Bivio site to promote a similar website (competitor=BI?!?).

it's not a similar site. The bi site is for performing analysis on stocks, while bivio is tracking actual club purchases for accounting purposes.
You should check it out.
I club central is the competing company, owned by better investing.
