Creating brokerage accounts

We switched from TDA to Fidelity. We have the account sync working for Fidelity, but the label is still TDA in Bivio. How do we separate the transactions AND have both Fidelity and TDA listed as brokerages?

Go to the Help section and choose Changing Brokers. This will tell you how to set up a new broker account. Our Club Treasurer and I set up a new account for Fidelity this month. You'll also need your old Broker statement and new Broker statement for the transition period in question. It started making sense when we actually brought the accounts up to date. In the end, everything balanced for us. Hope the same for you! Suzanne McNealy I'd like to know before I get too far, is there a separate application at Fidelity for an investment club? I found the form for updating an investment club account, but not to open one. Our club had to use the New Fidelity Account - Business application, but we are an LLC, not a general partnership. I don't know if that makes a difference. Linda, we went in to start the process with Fidelity. I brought in our last statement from Schwab; that had all their info needed Also brought in our bylaws with all members signature. they are doing the paperwork and they need signatures on account application . Which we will send out and we can email them back . Checked that we can transfer partial shares; which we can. I asked at Schwab if we could use the charitable transfer; we could individually but NOT as a club. They are a very hard brokerage to deal with as a club. Happy to be leaving them! I believe that form is for updating an existing account. Naturally, the logical thing to do is to call them and I'll probably do that. Our local Schwab broker is very nice and supportive of investment clubs. He got moved from TDA to Schwab along with the rest of us. He is definitely NOT the problem. I just have to figure out how much of a hassle it will be to move once again. All of the paperwork, and everyone having to switch their automatic payments again. A pain in the bazooka. Linda
it says "Fidelity Account Number If applicable"
Oh. Okay. I'll try it. Thank you. Linda
You can talk to someone at Fidelity--that is probably the best way to start. Peter Dunkelberger I'd like to know before I get too far, is there a separate Linda, our club just changed to Fidelity in December. We found an office to go talk to a new accounts person, and she referred us to an investment club rep. She handled everything with the former broker and our members. We are very pleased with their customer support. After researching several brokerage firms, Fidelity was the only one that actually wanted to work with an investment club and made it easy. You have convinced me!! The only question I have is whether Fidelity syncs well with Bivio? Peter Dunkelberger Linda, our club just changed to Fidelity in December. Here is the application. You can indicate investment club on page 2.
