Our club has been with TD since 1994 as a partnership with EIN number. The club started with zero balance. We have had three difference treasurers. We write checks every year.

I assume your treasurerâs were alive during your transitions, TDAMERITRADE told us the club were in the name of the treasurer and not filed as stock club, when I was able to get it released, they told me they had not have the ability to open a stock account under the stock clubâs name

Our experience also with TDA. One might think it is a club account, but there is only one password and one username. We also have an EIN, but we are not treated in all ways as a group entity.

My club has a TD Ameritrade investment club account as a partnership. I have talked with the local Schwab office about the merger and the local manager said he will personally make sure our transition is smooth. So we plan to stay with Schwab post merger.
We moved from a full service Morgan Stanley account to the TD Ameritrade account 5 years ago. At that time Schwab wanted personal accounts to be pledged to open an investment club account. So we went to TDA.

I think I am hearing from this discussion that a Schwab partnership account does more than a TD Ameritrade account. I am intrigged.
Would you kindly tell me more. Can we have multiple user profiles each with their own login ID and specific authority.
We have been with TD for 28 years and they did a nice job so we never think to look for alternatives.
Thank you.

We, who are with TDA, are about to find out what a Schwab account looks like. Very soon all of our TDA accounts will become Schwab accounts whether we like it or not.

Our club has received notice we are migrating from TDA to Schwab over Memorial Day weekend. Each of our current "authorized agents" at TDA will create their personal login credentials for access to our new Schawb account. (The years of shared login credential will be over.) That said, in my opinion, the change to unique login credentials will improve security.. When you recieve notice of migration to Schwab, your will have acess to a link that displays what is moving from TDA to Schawb and what is not which is more helpful than the FAQs.
