I would like to know what the 5 top financial metrics your club uses when evaluating stocks. Are club has grown to 10 members in the last year, and we are looking to evaluate and compare stocks in a more consistent manner.
First and foremost we use the SSG. The primary judgments generate the Compound projected Average Return. So, that is #1. (Personally, I value that higher than the Buy/Hold status.)

We also evaluate the financial stability, referring to the debt to capitalization. We look at the trend, and financial ratings on ValueLine, and ManifestInvesting.

Upside/Downside ratio as a measure of risk; and Relative PE as a measure of 'fair price'

Something we always consider, although we don't always look at the specific number, is Earnings Stability (R-squared). We do this visually by looking at the SSG graph and 'eyeballing' the 'straightness' of both the sales and earnings.

There are many more numerical metrics we consider, but you asked for five.
