You can now prepare your 2022 state and federal taxes on bivio.
The IRS has had our submissions for final approval to provide e-filing services for many weeks.
You can mail your state tax returns and give your members their K-1s. You may also mail your federal return instead of waiting for e-filing to be approved.
We apologize for the delay. When e-fling is approved by the IRS, we will email a bulletin and post on the Club Cafe.

Hi Dan,
This year we aren't able to offer e-filing for state returns. It's on our to-do list for next tax season.

Where can I find the IRS link to apply for a time extension? I know clubs have a different site than individuals as they are LLC's.

Once we complete Step 5, but prefer to E-File when that becomes available, may we go ahead and check the box to give access to the K-1s for members?

Electronic filing of federal return is less important to my club than I thought.
I still would have to send a copy of it to my state PA. I still have to address envelopes to all members for PA K1. Most are not using Bivio.
Nonetheless, tax return preparation was easy. Thanks.

After preparing the tax returns, I download them and email them to my local UPS store for multiple copies.
No printing at home. Quick. And I think security is OK.

This is so wrong on so many levels. You should never use email documents containing SSNs. Trusting the employees at the UPS store to not look at or record the SSNs of your members is also naive. I share Margaret's relief that I'm not in your club.

Are we suppose to send the second page of each K-1 to the IRS or just to the member.

If "second page" is the supplemental statements, it goes to both. If "second page" is the explanation of any codes on the K-1, that is for the member only. An easy way to tell is - if the top of the page has the club name and tax ID and the member's name and tax ID, it goes to both.
