Partial withdrawal for long-term member

Partial withdrawal for long-term member I have been a member of our investment club since its formation in 1991 and, due to some withdrawals, I have been unable to contribute because my percentage of ownership is significantly over 25% (as stated by our Partnership agreement). I'm not interested in a full withdrawal, but would consider a partial withdrawal of transferred stock. What are the ramifications for the club and for my tax position if I would do this? Thank you. There is a whole discussion about the pros and cons (no pros; all cons) of transferring stock for a partial withdrawal on the bivio help page. Look under "Withdrawals, Cash versus Stock, Partial Withdrawal" If you want to make a partial withdrawal just so you can resume making contributions, what is the point. Given time, your percentage of ownership will come down as other members make new contributions. -----Original Message----- From: club_cafe@bivio.com [mailto:club_cafe@bivio.com] On Behalf Of Marilyn Haldiman via bivio.com Sent: Thursday, 17 February, 2022 15:52 To: club_cafe@bivio.com Subject: [club_cafe] Partial withdrawal for long-term member I have been a member of our investment club since its formation in 1991 and, due to some withdrawals, I have been unable to contribute because my percentage of ownership is significantly over 25% (as stated by our Partnership agreement).
