This was a spinoff effective 6/3/2021.

You use the spinoff button on the Accounting>Investments page to enter it.

For each share of MRK you owned, you received .1 shares of OGN.

If you were owed fractional shares, you will also have received "Cash in lieu" that is entered on the spinoff entry page.

The tax basis allocation information on form 8937 has not yet been released by Merck. I contacted them and they indicated it will be out sometime in mid to late June.

So, when you make the initial entry, use the calculate button and accept the bivio default cost basis percentage amount.

Then, because this does affect your cost basis, it is very important that in late June or early July you check that the cost basis shown for each lot of your Merck and OGN shares on the bivio "Investment Lot Cost Basis" report agrees with the same details shown by your broker on an "Unrealized gain/loss" report.

If it doesn't agree, send the report to support@bivio.com and we can help you get bivio adjusted to agree with your broker.
