Synching Tax Lots from TDAmeritrads Dear fellow investors, We are new to Bivio. How do we set Bivio to synch up with the Tax Lot selection made from TDAmeritrade. To avoid the wash sale rule or to reduce our tax consequences, we do pick specific lot we prefer. Bivio doesn't follow TDAmeritrade. Thank you. Minh Le You can go to the transactions page, find the sale of the stock, hit EDIT, and you can choose the tax lots for the sale. You can also go to the investments page and find the stock and hit sale or enter on that stock. There are several ways to get to the edit page o change the lots. You cannot sync the transaction. You must manually change the lot sold. You cannot avoid wash sales by choosing the tax lot. If you sell at a loss, and you bought any shares within 30 days of the sale, you will have a wash sale. I am not sure how to put the wash in Bivio. You may need to email support@bivio.com to get the answer, or look at the help topics in Bivio. Minh Le -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus I believe that bivio account sync will assume First In First Out when assigning lots. If you are picking specific lots to sell in TD Am, then you will have to use bivio's software to assign the lots. Try Accounting/Investments from the top menus. If the position is closed, fill the checkbox "Show Inactive Investments' then pick 'transactions' for the security being sold. This will let you pick the lots you want in bivio so they agree with your TD Ameritrade account. scott Dear fellow investors,
