If you were to recommend to someone a magazine to read for
investing (other than Better Investing), which magazine
would you recommend? Fortune, Barron's, Motley Fool etc.?

These are all good sources. I would also recommend using your local library. Depending on your community you might have internet access to Value Line or CFRA or Morningstar Reports for free.
I like the AAII Journal as well although you need to be a member of AAII to get it.
I have found many credible sources on YouTube. Yes YouTube. Value Line has a month webinar on the one stock to buy now. They walk you through their online screener. CFRA has started semi monthly webinars that are very good. Manifest Investing puts their webinars on YouTube. I have found good resources on YouTube from TD Ameritrade and Fidelity. Both with a long term focus.
I hope that helps.

Tim,
I am a retired librarian and regularly read Barron's, Kiplinger's, Forbes and Money on my lunch hour. Currently I have an online subscription to Wall Street Journal.
Investorjunkie had a list of Top 7 Financial Magazines Smart Investors Should Read which added The Economist, Investor's Business Daily and Bloomberg Businessweek to the above 4 I regularly read.
Have fun reading!!
