It has a fun little video talking about the history of the two firms.
Looks like if you have an account with TDA you won't see anything different for a while. Make sure that you check that the cost basis of all of your shares agrees with what is in bivio. It will be impossible to change any TDA mistakes after the account has been merged.
If you owned shares of AMTD, you will see the merger entries made soon. Once they are made, don't forget to check the cost basis of each lot of your new Schwab shares to make sure they are correct.

Not sure what to do with the following. Our club has TDAmeritrade as our broker so I checked on the cost basis of our shares and everything matched except for 3. I am sure Laurie can answer your question, but I would first total the cost basis (# of shares multiplied by per share cost basis) for all three and see if the Bivio and TDA match. It could be a matter of allocation of share numbers. I would also check the number of shares that TDA and Bivio show for each holding. And does Bivio and TDA show the capital gains or just one of them?

We transferred Pep and AFL into TDAmeritrade in 2011. The number of shares are correct, but the cost basis isn't. Did TDAmeritrade just put our cost basis at 0 when we transferred the shares? How would I handle this if we sold our shares? Nothing is simple. Lucile Sorrells

If I were looking into this I would get the last statement from the previous broker and find out what their cost basis was for the shares before I transferred them. I then I would contact TD Ameritrade and find out why they do not have a cost basis for your shares.

If your bivio records are correct that would be the case.
However, from what I've seen, most clubs that have been doing DRIP investing for years do not have correct bivio records, especially for years when they didn't use AccountSync.
There are too many things that affect cost basis that may have not been dealt with correctly over the years. With so many lots, this gives many many opportunities for incorrect cost basis per lot.
