LP vs. MLP I know we are warned about the problems with clubs purchasing shares in master limited partnerships. Do the same cautions apply to limited partnerships? (Is there a difference between a LP and a MLP?) A club member is suggesting purchasing TLLP, but I have concerns. The caution applies to LPs as well. In general any company that has Partnership in it's name is a "no-no". They will issue K-1s that cannot be handled by the bivio software. Tesoro Logistics Limited Partnership (TLLP) would be one of those companies.
