Filing Partnership Form in State of Oregon
We are a new family club of four members and I'm not
required to file a tax form for our state (Ohio) for three
of our partners. However, I'm new at filing a state form,
and we have one partner who lives in OR that state requires
a filing. My underestanding is that we file a Form 65 for
the Partnership. Do we owe the minimum tax of $150 for
"doing business in the state" or are we not "doing business
in the state" since our mailing address is in Ohio. I would
like to hear from those filing in this state or someone
knowledgable on OR taxes.

I do not even know if I am asking the correct questions.
You are required to file Form 65 if you have a member who is an OR-resident. You are subject to the minimum tax only if you are "doing business in the state". Generally speaking, investment clubs are not "doing business" in OR solely because they have an OR-resident member. See Oregon Revenue Bulletin 2010-02 for details.
